music through the works of Leonard Bernstein and Aaron Copland. Bernstein鈥檚 Candide Overture opens the concert with wit and theatrical flair, followed by music from
On the Town, blending jazzy urban rhythms with Broadway sparkle. The program concludes with Copland鈥檚
beloved ballets Rodeo and Appalachian Spring, whose open harmonies and vivid rhythms evoke the American West and a spirit of hope,
community, and wide-open spaces, featuring the San Diego Ballet.

sets the stage with the lively and elegant overture to L鈥檃mant anonyme, full of sparkle and theatrical flair. Mozart鈥檚 Piano Concerto No. 20 in D minor
adds depth and excitement, combining beautiful melodies with moments of tension and
emotional power, featuring Cho-Hyun Park, piano soloist. The evening concludes with Haydn鈥檚 Lord Nelson Mass, an inspiring work that rises from uncertainty to confidence, ending the program
with a powerful sense of faith and triumph.
